North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is asking patients, visitors, staff, residents and local businesses to share their views on plans for the new hospital, which is expected to open by the end of 2032. The redevelopment will replace the existing RAAC-affected hospital building and create a modern, digitally enabled hospital, while keeping key services such as the Emergency Department and maternity care on site.

The consultation is open until Sunday 16 August 2026. Public engagement events are also expected to take place throughout June and July 2026, with details of venues and online sessions to be shared by the Trust.

The Trust is particularly interested in views on how people travel to and move around the hospital site (or not, with our traffic), what the future patient experience should feel like, how single inpatient rooms and digital technology should be used, and how the wider hospital site can support community life and wellbeing.

This is an important opportunity for residents to help shape the hospital that plays such a central role in the Hinchingbrooke estate.. Whether you use Hinchingbrooke regularly, visit family there, work nearby, or simply care about the future of healthcare in our area, your views matter.

Residents can take part online by visiting the Hinchingbrooke Hospital consultation website or by searching for #HeartOfHinchingbrooke on social media.
