Logistics Park Approved

At the Huntingdon Development Management Committee meeting on Monday 20th April, despite outstanding traffic and safety concerns, the outline plan for the Newlands Logistics Park has been approved.

The resident’s association is disappointed in this outcome, given that impact on Views Common Road and subsequent impact on Hinchingbrooke Park Road has not been fully explored, and that outstanding safety concerns regarding consequences on blue light services has not been examined fully.

What Happens Now?

With the Newlands Logistics Park approved, the application will now go to “Reserved Matters”, which gives an opportunity to discuss individual variable relating to the build, such as final building heights, signage, lighting and other matters.

The Resident’s Association is still committed to pursuing optimisations for the good of the whole area, minimising visual impact, pollution, and consequences on our estate and others surrounding.

We are also committed to monitoring and observing developments as they continue, and will be pro-active in calling out detrimental and positive consequences of this plan as they become apparent.
