We’re very thankful for how accommodating The George has been yet again, and we appreciate very much the helpful staff and assistance in getting this meeting ready.
Key Topics Discussed
1. Progress to Date
- The HRA before its official state to today has launched this website, multiple flyers, an array of meetings with officials and councillors and institutions in the area, all powered by volunteers from the estate.
2. Logistics Park News
- Comments for the proposed Logistics park closed on the 28th of January 2026.
- A huge thank you to everyone who wrote in, both in favour and against, for showing that the estate has a voice and can be engaged in important matters such as this.
- It is now almost certain that the Development Control hearing for the proposal will take place on the 16th February 2026, at 7pm, at Pathfinder House in Huntingdon.
- Residents with registered complaints will get a combined total of only 3 minutes to speak. Proposed that we nominate 1-3 people to make the most impact of that small amount of time.
- The HRA has sent a letter outlining concerns we are aware of, which can be read above.
- The planning officer’s report will be made available by 6th of February, if it is to be heard on the 16th, and we wait eagerly to review its contents.
- Once the decision is made, if approved the process goes into Reserved Matters, whereby further consultation and discussion can take place on compromise solutions to problems raised.
- We ask that any residents able and willing join us on the 16th of February at 6:45pm to register and be present at the hearing.
The event will also be livestreamed on YouTube for those who cannot attend.
3. AGM
- The interim committee each stood down, and we’re pleased to see the following people formally voted in.
- John Greenhalgh – Chairman
- Sarah Palios – Treasurer
- Joe Corrall – IT Officer
- The proposed constitution was also voted on and accepted.
- We have proposed a voluntary £10 donation for residents to join the HRA as formal members.
- We have discussed budgets and targets for the year ahead, and recognise the need for funding in order to continue our campaign of having Hinchingbrooke Residents be heard on the local stage.
Outcomes and Agreements
- Formal ratification of initial committee members, and approval of the constitution.
- A combined effort from all sides to turn out in numbers for the HLP proposal hearing on 16th February at 6:45pm, Pathfinder House.
Actions and Next Steps
- Our next proposed meeting is on the 30th March, at 7:30pm.
- HRA Chairman John Greenhalgh will attend a North Huntingdon Growth Cluster meeting on 16th February during the day, with the Cambridge and Peterborough mayor, and MPs expected to be present.
- HRA IT Officer Joe Corrall will publish the HRA’s letter on HLP proposal on this website (see link below).

Overall
We were delighted to see continued engagement from our residents and local councillors, thank you so much for turning out for the meeting.
We have come along way since the first flyer dropped in September 2025, and now look forward to pushing on in 2026 as a formal body, with engagement from councils and committees in the area to try and bring positive change into Hinchingbrooke.
Together for a Better Hinchingbrooke.
